Winnebago County Public Health provides the following resources and services for parents, caregivers and children:
- Free nurse services for pregnant people and new babies - in your home or at our office. Get information on:
- pregnancy
- labor and delivery
- caring for a new baby
- preparing for parenthood
- access to health care
- community resources, including child care, housing and food
- feeding, including breastfeeding support from certified lactation consultants and peer counselors
- safe sleep
- growth and development
- immunizations, including free vaccine for those eligible
- car seat safety
- WIC: Nutrition and education support for young families with children up to age five
- ASQ Developmental Screening- learn more about developmental screening and where you can screen your child
- Learn about safety issues for infants like car seat safety, safe sleep, and more.

Get information on: Developmental Screenings, Car Seat Safety, Breastfeeding Support, Vaccines, Safe Sleep, Nursing Expertise, Health and Community Resources. Appointments are necessary for car seat checks and immunizations (click here to schedule). Parent Resource Hours are offered once a month at each of our health department locations:
- Oshkosh Office (112 Otter St.): Every 2nd Tuesday of the Month, 1 - 4 p.m.
- Neenah Office (211 Commercial St.): Every 4th Thursday of the Month, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Nurse Consultations for Childcare Facilities
Winnebago County Public Health also offers Nurse Consultations for Childcare Facilities. During these visits, a nurse works directly with childcare facilities to provide health education and monitoring of immunizations, communicable diseases, food safety, and injury prevention. Contact us to schedule!

- Farm to School / Early Care means connecting schools and childcare centers with fresh, nutritious foods that are grown locally. It includes programs such as as taste testing, nutrition education, school gardens, Two-Bite Club, and more! Farm to School / Early Care supports the health of children, farms, and communities; connecting children with their food and empowering them to make healthy food choices.
- The Parent Outlet provides a Resource Guide - for families in Outagamie, Winnebago and Calument Counties as well as the State of the Child Report a local analysis.
